Community Engagement:

Fort Worth’s Future Starts Here

A Heartfelt Community Celebration: Sharing Christmas Joy

On December 6, 2025, the Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office, The Potter’s House of Fort Worth, and Fairpark Baptist Church hosted a day of connection and support for local families. The Peak International STEM Academy, involved since March 2025, was pleased to collaborate in designing and coordinating the event space, reinforcing our collective commitment to community support.

Expanding Access to World-Class Education

Our Founder and CEO, Cecil Lopez, was invited to speak to the families about the future of education in our city. Through an in-depth presentation, she highlighted:

  • Universal STEM Access: Identifying the need for high-quality science and technology programs that are available to every student in Fort Worth.

  • Responsive School Design: Explaining how our proposed charter is being built to support the specific needs of local families and prepare students for the modern workforce.

  • Our Mission & Vision: Formally introducing the Academy’s core values of leadership, excellence, and career readiness.

A Comprehensive Community Experience

While the vision for the future was shared, the day provided a festive and supportive environment for all attendees. Families engaged in a variety of activities, including:

  • Live Presentations: A Christmas play and professional holiday photo booths.

  • Hands-on Engagement: Creative crafts and an outdoor petting zoo.

  • Community Provision: Families were provided with food and drinks, and every child received a gift to support their holiday season.

We are committed to reaching every family and ensuring that the path to a premier STEM education is open to all.

We are building a movement. We are building a legacy. Most importantly, we are building this proposed charter with you.

A Community United

for Our Future Leaders!

Building on the foundation of our Community Insight Workshops, we hosted the Discover @ The Peak Community Information & Resource Fair on November 8th. This event marked our transition from listening to demonstrating our long-term commitment to the neighborhood. It was our opportunity to officially present the proposed mission and vision of The Peak International STEM Academy and show how your feedback is being woven into the school’s future design.

In partnership with the Hope 4 Kids Foundation, Inc., we turned your shared priorities into a tangible preview of the world-class STEM and wellness experiences we aim to bring to our students. A special thank you to the Fort Worth Southwest Community Center for hosting this pivotal moment. While families engaged in Virtual Reality learning and CPR training, they also gained vital insights into health and financial wellness from our community experts. Seeing the children receive gifts from a generous donor reinforced our drive to make this vision a reality. We aren't just planning; we are honoring our commitment to this community.

A Massive Thank You to Our Village: We are deeply grateful to our 10 incredible partners who rallied to support our families:

  • Aetna Better Health of Texas

  • Comparion Insurance Agency

  • Cook Children’s Health Plan

  • Fairpark Baptist Church

  • Global CPR Training

Wellness in Motion: Mental Health Awareness Event

On Saturday, October 11, 2025, The Peak International STEM Academy, in partnership with Hope 4 Kids Foundation, Inc., joined the community for a special Mental Health Awareness event focused on connection, wellness, and inspiration.

Families stopped by our table to learn more about our charter and participate in activities designed to uplift both mind and body. Guests created a circle of shared hope by writing positive notes of encouragement to inspire others and selecting messages that resonated with them.

In our “Wellness in Motion” corner, attendees tried out the rowing machine. They learned that even just a few minutes of physical activity can significantly improve focus, mood, and overall mental well-being.

The event was a wonderful reminder that learning at The Peak goes beyond academics—it’s truly about nurturing the whole child: mind, body, and spirit.

Thank you to all who stopped by to share, move, and connect with us!

National Night Out: Connecting Through STEM and Community

The Peak International STEM Academy was proud to participate in National Night Out, on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, joining families, local organizations, and first responders for an evening of fun and connection. Our team shared hands-on learning experiences that sparked curiosity and conversations about how STEM shapes everyday life.

Parents and children stopped by to learn more about The Peak’s mission to empower future innovators through hands-on, purpose-driven STEM education. The event reflected what The Peak stands for—building strong community partnerships and inspiring a love for learning that extends beyond the classroom.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by to connect, learn, and imagine what’s possible together!

Back to School Bash Part 2: Staples Edition

We had a wonderful time connecting with families at the Back-to-School Bash, on July 25th, held at Staples! It was a joy to share our vision, engage with the community, and celebrate the start of a new school year. Thank you to everyone who stopped by and supported our growing mission. Here's to a strong and inspired year ahead!

Back-to-School STEM Fun!

Check out the highlights from our recent Back-to-School event, where students and parents explored the science behind boat design through a hands-on STEM challenge! From predicting how many pennies their foil boats could hold to testing buoyancy and balance, curiosity was afloat all day.

We loved seeing future innovators in action!

Summer Camp Recap:

Innovation in Action!

This summer, students across multiple grade levels stepped into the shoes of real-world problem-solvers during our immersive, hands-on STEM camp. From engineering tiny homes to presenting creative solutions, campers engaged in a dynamic learning experience that brought science, math, and design to life.

What made this camp truly special? Students were virtually coached by international STEM experts—including a French inventor from France and a Filipino engineer from the Philippines—who guided them through each phase of their projects.

It was a powerful week of creativity, critical thinking, and global collaboration—all designed to spark the minds of tomorrow’s innovators.
